Sort by: Rating||| 5.0 classic This album is so good. I started off really digging 'Trail of Fire' and being pretty lukewarm to the rest of the songs but now they're all pretty even. The 'I am not the picture nowwww, I'm the Fraaaaame' part at the end of Frames is the best 4.5 superb inclosed by skies is one of the best songs i've heard in a long time. Edit: rest is pretty fucking rad too. Essential punk/folk/whatever the fuck you want to call it album. My journey towards hearing this album began with my just out of the blue finding the music video for 'Invalid Litter Dept'.
The story told is pretty moving but above all it made me all the more interested in checking out AtDI. What I found was a masterclass in aggressive musicianship and songwriting. Songs like Arcarsenal just rip your face off. The one album that is impossible to escape on Sputnikmusic and for pretty good reason. Damn consistent throughout with a few notable standouts (Holy fucking Degausser).
Brilliant lyrics. Solid instrumentation and dem vocals - all makes it a fantastic album. Listen to it before you die son. Raw, passionate and at times just fucking dirty, Eleventh are a young Aussie band who are doing it right. All the songs rule, The Commonwealth and the Queen is a beast of a song. Frankie's a wise guy but he really just says exactly what needs to be said in any situation.
When I picked up England Keep My Bones the first thing I heard was definitely maturity, musically and lyrically. Frank Turner is growing up and he just wants to sing about shit that he loves.
It's a great album and it hits me hard whenever I hear it. I love Jeff Buckley. He released a near perfect album in 'Grace' and it's legacy is felt everywhere for a number of reasons. This album is so tragic at times and so hopeful at others, it's a tragedy that he didn't get to make another 'proper' release but in some ways it just makes Grace that little bit more special. Kanye flat out kills it here, his rapping is solid and he picked some very good company for a lot of the songs.

This is the perfect mix of that mainstream rap sound, something a little more underground and just some solid as fuck pop influence. Works a treat. Karnivool go so far from what they were doing in Themata and they do it flawlessly. The same things that made Themata such a success are still present with a lot more of a progressive feel. Change Pt 2 is immense.
Perhaps a bit overzealous but this totally rules. R This album is absolutely amazing and it might soon become a classic in my eyes. It's really caught on me and I can listen to it while doing just about anything which is great.
Fucking rad I never really understood the love for Radiohead outside of 'Paranoid Android' but listening to this a few times set me straight. Pretty essential as far as music itself goes. The Tourist floors me every time, gotta be a top 10 song for me. The only thing I'll say about this album is the first thing I did when I got a new car was to go driving blasting The Deadly Rhythm.
And it was fucking fantastic. Very very very very very very very very very pretty and beautiful 10/10 slowest grower i've encountered yet. With potential to get better threatens to overtake emergency & i. This was unexpected. 4.0 excellent Alice in Chains are hands down my favourite grunge band. Their music is what grunge should be: full of sorrow, heavy and dirty. Dirt is a great album with a lot of awesome songs, probably the best of which is 'Down in a Hole'.
Legit fucking album. A great collection of progressive rock songs that despite this fact remain quite accessible. 'Christenings' is a real highlight, might be one of the strongest songs Wilson ever wrote. Gym aoty 2017 I bought this album cause it was in the music shop and it looked really funny. I thought it would be crazy black metal or something but the quick tempo-ed bass was a huge surprise. Great album and amazing to hear about how it was recorded and stuff. This is so good.
